Hello to you, too
Thank you for visiting my Riverbank Farm profile. I am new to Hobby Farms; and have never 'blogged.' But, I appreciate your welcome note. I see you have Quarter Horses. We have an extremely pleasant very senior grulla Quarter Horse mare in our schooling program. She's a sweetheart. I also own a Morgan, Haflinger, and Arab/Shetland pony. I retired my lesson program to a (younger) former employee, so that I could invest more time working on the American Association of Riding Schools project. It's a truly worthy effort to bring new non-horse-owning beginners into the sport and hobby of horses; and to help stable owners who care for that market develop viable small businesses. In my spare time, I invented a crocheted pony pattern that is selling quite well - I'm a little excited about it - and then I somehow became obsessed with crocheting ponies late every evening. My husband is newly retired and enjoys watching late night television. Making the ponies helps me sit still! I've sold around 150 patterns, and maybe 20 finished ponies. I'm taking a herd to a local Christmas craft sale; and then not displaying them again until the Michigan Horse Council Stallion Expo in March. Enough small talk. It was nice to find a horse person on the site. Best regard, Colleen at Riverbank Farm, Michigan.
