Hi. I think the Highlands would do well down south as long as there is a pond for them to stand or wade in. It gets pretty hot here in the mid Ohio valley and very humid. Ours just love to stand in the pond and cool off. They shed out their winter coat very well. No rare breed chickens yet. Just the Myotonic goats, Highland cattle, Watusi cattle and Zebu cattle. Cickens next.lol Have a great farming day, and thanks for the reply.
