Such a delight
Such a delight to read your post, my friend! The part about God Himself alongside me is encouraging. When you talk about bringing ice to cool the chickens' water I am reminded of reading how Laura Ingalls Wilder, as a middle-aged woman in Missouri, would be the only woman to get her hens to lay in winter because she would heat their mash in the kitchen before bringing it out to them. It's amazing how simple husbandry can make a difference. It just occurred to me; how "husbandry" can be used as a term for basically "mothering" one's stock. I should use that in a future blog.

Anyways, I can understand how a person hates to waste the excess of produce, like with your "tomates". The wild raspberries are in full force and tomorrow night I will pick them just so they won't go to waste. I'll probably have to make myself eat them or bring them to my brothers' houses but I can't seem to let them rot. Adrian Monk would've made a good Countryman.

In looking at your posting history, I found the answer to a question that was haunting me; how to add photos. Thank you for that. Talk to you again, --Gary
