The loss of our royal palm tom has been heart breaking. When we first got turkeys we only thought of one thing; dinner. That was before they became part of the family. The two BB Bronze turkeys are still destined for the dinner table as we are worried about them developing leg problems in the long run. We were hoping to hatch a clutch of Royal Palms next spring but with the loss of our tom that dream has been crushed.
If anyone who has owned turkeys before is reading this, would you have any idea what killed him? He started acting very sleepy all of a sudden, he still ate and drank fine, and even puffed himself out once in a while. We got them from a feed store so are unsure if they were vaccinated for Marek's, they were not medicated for Cocci because they were raised with ducks.
