The Moon - Phase 2
I agree, the moon phases do change from year to year, which is why I always buy a copy of the farmers' almanac. Most of them list the phases, plus the best days to plant various things. You can also do a lot more by the moon - plant, prune, weed, hair cuts, baking, all kinds of things. I do a garden calendar each year and note the best days to plant, the next best, bloom day, when to prune, when to cut firewood and when to do my baking. It also acts as a daily list of things to do, and keeps me focused, organized and able to see progress. The best thing about it is, if it's raining, then I always have an alternate day to plant. Reese & Pyle also have a book out that discusses how to read and use an almanac. Check with your local library and see if they have it, or can get it for you. Let me know if you try it, and if you do, how it works for you. This is all just a big experiment so far for me, but it is getting some decent results!
