Well we have been busy farrowing over the last day or so.... good size litters with good size pigs...gilts have developed quite well. Weather has been lousy with wind and some rain which we do need for those that crop. We had 17.5 mm of rain fall and it made the piggery quite wet. but it is nice a dry today and not needing wellies. Gilt out today cause the farrow area no 1 has a problem with the fence. Might have to pull it all to pieces and start again. It is 10 years old.... and the bottom wires have rusted out. Workman reckons he might know how to rectify the problem have to wait and see.
