Greetings from Washington
I read your comments on my blog but had little time to respond cough cough cough! If you have not heard in the news a large part of our state is on fire. I have friends in the fire area and have been trying to help them. Smoke has been covering the east side of the cascade mountain range for more than two weeks. Very difficult to see more than a mile or much less in the near fire areas and valleys.
I purchased my antique apple grafts on line 2 years ago so they are still small. I will not see apples for another 2 years. Anything that does set I will take off so that I have stronger trees. We have 36 apple trees with about 20 varieties. I am most excited to be able to taste them side by side. We hope to grow enough of our own apples so that we do not have to haul in from my mother's orchard 90 miles away for our cider pressing party next month. I will write more later! Family just arrived for the day.
Nancy
