Thanks for the note
Glad you like the minis and have an interest in them. We actually researched for months - then took a few trips on the east coast to other farms but were disappointed in the sizes that others were calling and trying to sell as miniatures. Our girls are 00 to 0000 on the miniature size chart...which puts them at maturing no taller than 35-36 inches at hip point. So we are very excited about watching them grow out - and trust me they are quite small now...they were 19-20 inches at birth and weighed around 20 lbs. As you can see in the pics they are slightly taller than our lab now and she is small and goes about 60 lbs. so that gives you a reference point. Skittles is the white one and Flo Jo is the brindle...they were both from IA - we used Uship.com to get them here in July and were very satisfied with our choice. We plan to breed them in 13 months or so - and hope to sell the calves to someone that wants to raise for 4-H to get some exposure for the breed. Well - thanks again for the note and if there is one thing I can say about minis - it is to research the breeder and look for what you want...and don't settle for someone telling you that you can get a larger calf and breed down to the size you want...that would take years! Spend the $$ and get the true mini.
