Manure feed back
If piglets are scouring or if you add new gilts to your piggery. Then manure is put in by the bucket full over the fence. this has all the herd bugs in it that allow the young sows to pick up and make antibodies in their own bodies, and in doing so protect the new babies once they arrive by passing these on in the milk.

Eg. E. coli....can build up in the sows/gilts system via the manure..... A bucket full just over the fence and they will go through it picking it up and yes they swallow it. that what pigs do.....might be YUKKY but hey if it helps who cares. babies are what you want....
