Pigs
The first pig we raised was 3 years ago. That pig made it to the county fair and we did not eat him. The second pig did not make weight for the fair, we did share some of her. The kids did not have a hard time eating it. My son named her frijoles so when we were having pork for dinner the girls would ask if we were eating frijoles. This last pig he raised also made fair so he was auctioned off also.
We do not eat our chickens we just use their eggs. Having chickens in our yard has opened their eyes as to where eggs really come from. They love waiting to see the chicken lay and grab the egg as soon as it is dry.
Have a wonderful new year!
