Are you like us color is the 1st thing and then go from there. If you want some thing easy on the land get a hertiage hog like red waddle. If you want a hog that has large beacon get ladrace or yorkshire. If you want something with muscle duroc. But whatever you go with you need to know if they are a stress carrier or not. We dont go with anything white on the ears because they sunburn bad down here in the summer in with a muddy wallow. But its up to our son when we look at piglits. Then it down to how good of a mom she is when we are in the pen. Talk to others because reasons are going to very. Word of caution about heratige pigs they are slow growers.
