Well the one we got on our son's show bull right now is homemade, but I need to find another one soon. Rain set in today and I have a coon problem now.
If you want to, you can keep a female and the freeze pig (barrow) in the same pen and then put your boar in another place.
Depending on the size of litter that the sow or gilt is carrying it takes up to 114 days (+/-) 2 or 3 days for them to have them. They will abort if they don't have at least 4 healthy babies in them. They cycle every 18 to 21 days.
There has been some research that high tailheads in gilts/sows will give you more problems when they farrow.
Have your planned for a 1st aid kit. Don't forget the superglue and the Jack Daniels. Sometimes you have to get them drunk in order to mix pigs are right after they pass the after birth.
