Thoughts for Today
I carried home a dozen of different variety of baby chicks today. Our grandsons have picked and named theirs and are all eager and excited to help with the rearing. We fixed a rubber maid box with some hay, starter food and water. We attached a warm light and the chicks seem content and are quiet in the corner of our laundry room. We are in the process of preparing the coop and have located some grown hens for sale. I must say for someone who didn't want no part of this chicken business, my husband has done an excellent job turning that old shed into my new hen house!(he don't eat chicken or eggs)With the help of my oldest grandson he finally he gave in and I got my hens and hen house.
