Seems like forever since I've blogged here. Belly Acres Farm has moved from Van Buren, Me to Roxbury, Me. which is in the foothills of the western mountains. Our new location is surrounded by hills, with us in the valley. It is beautiful to look out any of our windows in the morning and see the mist on the tops of the hills. Always makes me think of Psalm 121 "I Lift Mine Eyes to the Hills from Where Comes My Strength"

Lots of work to do on this property as it was neglected in the past. We moved down on a shoestring so repairs and improvements will be happening slowly. We still want to have dairy goats and as soon as the snow is gone and the ground is workable, we will be repairing fence lines that are in disrepair.

We moved just two days before Thanksgiving and had an exciting trip down. My husband's truck and U-Haul truck made it okay, but my truck broke down (thankfully in the daylight at a rest area) 4 hours from the new farm. I was driving the "Jed Clampet Mobile".....daughter, 150 lb dog, 2 cats and 7 chickens.....only thing missing was Granny in a rocker on the back....ha ha. Thankfully we have one 200 mile tow per year with AAA....so they had to tow us 198 miles! This was with a driver who kept telling us that he only had three hours sleep the night before and I don't think he went less than 70 miles per hour, even on the back roads! Prayer does work! Anyhow...we've spent the Winter inside and are anxiously waiting full Spring, so we can start some projects.

We did get two of the five apple trees on the property trimmed yesterday.....so it begins...............more later.
