I'm Jealous!
We won't be tasting our first strawberries until next spring - we plant them in the fall here. And I have had 4 apple trees in my yard for 5 years and have yet to produce the first one! Technically, apples aren't supposed to grow this far south, but there are a few varieties (Granny Smith being one) that will produce if well cared for. Okay. The only other thing I can do is to put the tree in the house, tuck it in at night, and spoon feed it at the table! Any more spoiled and my trees would surpass my own children. Eat one for me when they're ripe. I'll just have to settle for that juicy red watermelon that Danny and Randy grew. Oh. BTW. Read my latest post - you may end up with a truckload of watermelons in your driveway within the next couple of weeks, if I can't sell them at Market!!! :)
