Wind, wind and more wind.
Thank you Belly acres Farm for your warm welcome. Things here in Idaho are windy today. We had another fire start north of Gooding yesterday and the wind isn't helping put it out. Woke up last night, looked out the window and the foothill were all aglow. Makes me sad to think that grazing allotments may be lost for 3 years. They hope to have containment on it by tomorrow afternoon.
We also got a little rain last night so the cut hay that is on the ground won't be what we hoped. We have had such good luck that I guess it eventually runs out. They say we are in for a long hard winter and I am not going to complain because we actually need it.
The picture is of our bottle baby last year and my boys. They wanted to play in the front pasture where she was and she just wanted feed. Needless to say a 50 pound calf can tree two boys pretty well. I was being yelled at to come save them. Took the picture opportunity before I rescued them with 4 pints of milk.
Wishing everyone the best.
