You will NEVER go back to store bought eggs unless you have to. Congrats on the newest members of the extended family.

Well I'm dog tired and back at work. Noone understand what I went through, got the animals all safe to the fair on Tuesday. I stayed from can to can't, at least we lived 20 miles from the fair grounds. Came home to the chickens, dogs, cat and fish. Left before sunrise and came home well aftersun set. Well that's enough about me.

My son impressed the daylights out of me. He was up and at it with a swollen hand (left) due to a yellow jacket stining him. He fought a swollen hand all week long. I did not have to ask him to feed, water or clean up after the animals. I asked him to stay out of the pig pen since there was two and their pen was 5x6. Put he helped out when we got them out to the show pen to walk. I'm PROUD of that boy.

Lets see he got a 1st on his caterpillar cake in the 4H building and a 3rd with his standing sunflower in a pot made out of pop sicle sticks, out of 5 dz eggs he only place a 2nd with his Cubulyan eggs (which is fine because last year he got a 1st with his green eggs), then he got a 2nd with his Fair Essay for the 4th grade and we could not find his magnets, bookbag or hat (we did get them back but no ribbons). For livestock he got Grandchampion in showmanship for his pigs, Ruby won 2nd, Garnet was shown in the Pee-Wee class by a 2 yr old who got 1st and then Reserve Champion and best in show for small animals. Summer got 1st in her class, 2nd in Showmanship and 3rd when they call them back (very hard to show against 2 cow/calf pairs).

Overall the animals did great and were ready to go home as soon as they saw the truck and trailer pull up. The pig loaded themselves up and all the "grown" men had they jaw to the ground watching 2 pigs load up with noone forcing them in....LOL....

Now if I can get some sleep and recover from this and get Summer back on track (she has another show on the 12th and 13th of Nov).
