How's the construction going on?

No snow yet, but had ice cycles as long as a foot off the roof last Friday. Both Hubby and P2 had the Flu A and I'm still fighting broncitius.

If ONLY I could stop coughing. It got some bad one time at the pig pen that I lost a rubber boot in the muck with the pigs. I guess Ruby knew I was feeling so bad that when I went to feed up the next morning, she had removed the boot from the muck and had it right by the gate. She got an extra marshmellow for that.

P2 and Summer show at State this Sunday and Monday, by the skin of their teeth. The Pitchards gave us a helping hand at District to keep P2's dream of State ALIVE.

We go from rain to dry over night and you just don't know how to dress for this kind of weather until you are 1/2 way through feeding up.

I put P2's show roosters in with his flock so they could come into the coop at night and have some heat. They run up to you when feeding the hens and want your attetnion. So I'll pick up one or two walk them around the yard. Got to keep them friendly for competition in October.

P2's new flock want be in until the end of March and maybe this weather will be stable enough for chick and child to be outside.

Ruby is in her second heat and I don't know if Mr. G will be big enough to do what I need him to do at the end of March. Not looking for a huge litter, just a healthy one of three at the most in piglets. But I have to I will push the breeding date back a couple more months. Just hope she has a litter and they are weaned by mid-October so P2 can show her as a sow.
