Chicken Check List! I am tuckered out tonight! Not much done this afternoon, after work…Checked both gardens for progress. I think I might have some corn up, maybe…could be a weed! :) We’ll see what tomorrow brings. I prepped one of my herb beds. I’m going to put manure in it tomorrow and hopefully get some of these herbs in the ground. I think I have made a discovery with one of my chickens. Now, a little history…I bought these chickens, as chicks, at a critter auction having no idea what breed of chicken I was getting. Well, I have a few Rhode Island Reds and Bardrocks, but I think I have an Araucana! I was looking at them one day and was like what is going on with the sides of this chicken’s head? It has tufts on both sides! Crazy looking chicken! I’ve got to check out his tail end tomorrow, because the classic Araucana is “rumpless!” I also have two that I think are Jersey giants. The one is so pretty she is solid white. I LOVE my chickens!
