Hi!
Your place is beautiful! I envy you your sheep - I'm a weaver, and am wanting to learn to spin. Since we live in NW Louisiana, we're trying to find a sheep breed that can withstand our hot humid summers. We also have chickens -- and the predator problems. My hubby accuses me of building the Fort Knox version of a coop, but at least I'm not losing my chickens to predators. It was about the only way I could figure out how to protect them. We also have Banties, but for my eggs I have New Hampshire Reds, Red Sex Links and Barred Rocks. I have others as well, but those three breeds have been the best egg layers for us. I chuckled when I read what all you grew in your garden. I've been accused of over doing mine, but now I have room to say that I'm not the only one! We're now in the process of building a raised bed garden that will also include a few fruits, as well as all the veggies. Good luck on your farm!!!
