Well, the sun did come out and now it's gone, and we are back to the usual rain(Boo)I did get outside and get some things done, but I have been sick since Tues. night and so just didn't have the umph to do what I had so planned.I did get a blueberry bush planted and replanted my rhubarb.So......my seeds will have to wait a few more days.
As far as chickens I am still looking at different breeds,I have friends that are making suggestions too.I will probably keep less than a dozen.I want to get a few laying hens from friends, and then buy some chicks.I know our grandchildren would love seeing and being involved with them.I don't think I can do any butchering, so I probably will only raise them for the eggs.I don't know if I want a rooster or not yet? I like to hear them, and I think they are so beautiful, but not sure yet.So any imput from you my new friends will be appreciated.
Yes, about Issie the Cat/dog she really just wants to friends with the deer. One of the young bucks is so used to her, that if he sees her outside, he will walk across the field to come nose to nose with her.It is so much fun to just watch their intereactions.
The good thing about yesterday was that my husband seems to be onboard with helping me get my coldframe and garden boxes made(yahoo!)It will get done so much faster if we are both involved.I always have so many, many projects that when I start telling him some of them,he just looks at me, with this look and says nothing.I know what that look means..."will the project list ever stop?"(ugh...NO)He's a doll, all I have to do is ask ,and he will help me get things done. It's just hard for me to ask!But...I'm learning!
So today I,m staying home, and inside.I have things to do inside here too, believe me,the list is endless. If I just had more energy.I have some rhubarb to make into a upside down cake recipe I found,I think I will at least do that and some mending,sewing,......at least!
