Livestock points is different from P2's 4H points. He gets a point for entering in either showmanship or DOB Class for his livestock, then if they place they get points according to their placing. It starts the day after achivement day and runs to the day before the next achivement day. The kids that have livestock (at the end of the school year) will get a supper and the points are tallied up and they get awards or items towards next show season. So we will see this coming 20th what P2's Livestock Score is.

This coming school year will be better, because we made friends in other parishes that have emailed us drivable shows for P2 and his cattle.

P2 will show is swine only at the fair. The reason for that is if Ruby is settled she will just be getting through weaning her piglets and be shown as a sow. Choc and Chip will be shown in the market class and then be put in the freezer (as part of P2's piglet to freezer project). Summergirl will be 2 mths settled (fingures crossed) and I won't risk trailering to the fair.

P2 has 30 babby chicks that he got for Easter and he's raising them up and then three weeks before our Fair (which is always the 3rd week in October), he will pick out 5 to show.

He use to have a rabbit until the asthma doctor said that the long hair rabbit had to go. Which was fine by me, I got tired of having to back the jeep to his moveable hutch and move him around with P2's help, so he could have fresh grass and help fertlize the yard around the house.
