My duck that is laying had all her eggs destroyed by a predator of some sort. One day she had 8 and then a couple days later she had like 15 and the predator got them all. I was letting her keep them, to see if we'd get baby ducklings. I brought in a couple that she had layed in their yard, but after locking them in for three nights, she now has another area nested out so will let her get a few more and then start pulling extras.
Since i only have one laying I don't get too many too fast, but faster than I can eat them. Ducks are new to me and they are really different than chickens.
