Cute pics! Love the cat drinking out of the bird bath!

Thanks for visiting! Alpacas are very easy to care for. My husband and I grew up in the suburbs and moved to our farm just 5 years ago. Neither of us has a farming background, but according to a lifelong farmer that custom hays for us, we're doing real well :) We put up 225 bales of grass hay last fall and still have quite a bit, even after feeding it to 7 adult alpacas last winter. 5 of the alpacas have been on pasture since about April or May, but we have still had to feed the 2 girls and now one baby. Once a month, we weigh them, give them a wormer, trim toe nails if necessary, and give them a general once over to make sure they are healthy, so other than that, feeding them a good grass hay and grain once a day, and of course, cleaning up after them, they're pretty easy to care for. We shear them in May every year and have a guy who comes out and does it for us.
