Western Pennsylvania based contributor Jessica Walliser is a horticulturist who believes that gardening can help mend communities, build friendships and start revolutions.
Through her radio program "The Organic Gardeners," which can be heard on KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh and nationally on kdkaradio.com, Jessica is able to connect with gardeners across the nation, learning how and why they garden. The Garden Writer’s Association recently named her and her co-host the Best On-Air Radio Talent for North America.
Jessica is the author of four gardening books, Grow Organic: Over 250 Tips and Ideas for Growing Flowers, Veggies, Lawns and More; Good Bug Bad Bug: Who’s Who, What They Do and How to Manage them Organically; A Gardener’s Notebook; and her newest book Attracting Beneficial Bugs to Your Garden: A Natural Approach to Pest Control. She is a frequent contributor to Hobby Farms, Urban Farm and several other national publications.
