Page 1 of 1   Previous | Next
Farm Name: My Dream Farm

Year Farm Established: 2012

Location: Fallon, NV

Years I’ve been farming: 3 years

Animals I raise: I wish I had 3 or 4 Oberhasli dairy goats, 2 or 3 Scottish Blackface sheep, large fowl Golden, Silver, and Chamois Campines, bantam Golden Campines and Black Sumatras, Buff Laced Brahmas and a few Silver Wheaton Marans for brown eggs, and Creme d'Argent and Thrianta rabbits.

Crops I grow: I wish I had a garden and grew lettuce, spinach, peas, green beans, broccoli, garlic, onions, asparagus, bell peppers, eggplant, kale, yams, pumpkins, strawberries, tomatoes, summer and winter squash, beets, carrots, watermelon, cantaloupe, blackberries, blueberries, elderberries, black currants, raspberries, culinary and medicinal herbs, and a fragrance rose garden. I also wish I had a small orchard, with apple, pear, plum, cherry, walnut and almond trees.

Hobbies I enjoy: Raising my animals, enjoying the beauty of the land, listening to music, quilting, some embroidery and crochet, making candles and cooking.

The proudest moment on my farm: When I will have bought the property and own it outright.

Pets: I will have 2 or 3 barn cats, 1 or 2 indoor cats, a German Shepherd dog or two, and an Icelandic sheepdog.

Blogging for points is good. Farms of wishes are good. I wish for a glorious saltwater fish aquarium and a beautiful flower garden! My flowers that I do have are doing great. My irises are sleeping for the winter. My daughter is learning to talk and becoming a holy terror!!!!

Come visit me, Bethany's Bird Farm.

  Crying baby goats (from Martok)
Hi Ariel,

This is Martok--thank you for reading my blog! I like writing it but there isn't one this week because our computer has been offline. Mom's bad puppy chewed the wiring. Who knew?

Yes, all baby goats cry when their humans leave them. That's cuz we goats LOVE our people! When they get older they probably won't cry. Except my nephew, Edmund, still cries (really, really loudly) when Mom goes in the house and he's going to be six months old! And that makes the lamb he lives with (Mopple) baah too, so it gets pretty noisy around here. I think Edmund just likes to shout.

Come visit me, Mopple's Place.

  Yes wishes

I am fine.

I called it the Farm of Wishes because I don't have a farm at the moment and I wish I did. I think the farm life sounds great. It might have appeal because I love animals so much.

Come visit me, My Dream Farm & Redmond's Rare Poultry Roost.

Sounds like my farm! I wish I had a big, pretty flower garden, but so far, I've only planted irises because I'm lazy!!

Come visit me, Bethany's Bird Farm.
