Years I’ve been farming: 9 years old
Animals I raise: We raise different breeds of goats. We have Nubian/Boer mix, Registered Saanen and Alpine (also Alpine mix). We have different ages of goats to sell. We have dairy goats that we milk and we make homemade goats' milk soap. We also have bees and sell beeswax and make candles.
We also raise Silkies and other Bantams. We have eggs to sell and chickens to sell. We also have brown/red games.
Crops I grow: Variety of lettuce, beets/beet tops, beans, onions, cuccumbers, squash, potatoes, corn, leeks, cabbage, Jerusalem artichoke, pumpkins, gourds (luffa and bushel), sugar cane, broomcorn, "baby" corn. We have chives and sage. We have raspberries and blackberries. We are also growing cantaloupes and watermelons. We have been growing Shiitake Mushrooms on logs since 2003.
Hobbies I enjoy: Hiking, rock hunting, my husband and I make Mountain and Native-American crafts.
