For our fair the earliest the kids can be born is in December. We can't have them that early though because our average rate of gain on the kids is .48 lbs. a day, and they weight around 100 lbs. Is that your buck in the picture? Have a great day!

I really like to be there when kids are born. It helped save our last set. I had to correct a kid caught with his hoof under the chin. Doe really couldn't move him out and was her first set of kids. hehe yep were in Alaska. It does get fairly cold.. max summer temp is about 75F and lowest winter temp is about -50F...though this year it is really warm it got up to 80F! (i was melting!!) and hasnt snowed yet, usually we have 2ft by now. Come visit me, North Star Boer Goats.
