Thank you for your comment. Got the new tractor, a Kioti, last year after I decided to retire my old faithful Kubota. The building in the background is the horse barn, not the home.

  Lots of green
Fall, winter and spring everything is green around here. Summer it can get real brown. We don't get much rain in the summer months. The mountians in the back ground are from 2500 feet to 4000 feet. My farm is at 1100 feet. About 20 miles north of us is King Mountin which is 5280 feet. GREAT view from there.

Yes they're fully feathered and most are almost full grown, the chicken coop is insulated and we run a heat lamp in it in winter.

I'm only a mile from Dock Square and work in that area myself, I do early morning cleaning at one of the restaurants down there.

  Enjoy those chicks
Thanks for your comment. We're originally from York County, too. We lived in Alfred, Sanford, and Springvale and I worked in Kennebunk Port. Will your chicks be big enough to bear the cold this late in the year?

Thanks for the welcome. I like how you got into farming (your son wanted chickens). It's so hard to say no to kids, thus how we ended up with a puppy, rabbit and goats. Now she wants Scottish Highland cows...
