  Oh dear....
I forgot about my mint, and it decided it wanted to take over the deck. Major pruning needed.

  WOW.
I forgot about the strawberries too this summer, and they decided to make lots and lots of babies- so many, in fact, that they nearly neach the ground from the second-story deck!

  Good gracious.
I haven't really paid much attention to my chives this summer- aside from watering them twice- and, since I divided them last year, GOOD GRACIOUS! It's like a thick, sloppy green shag rug in that pot!

  Brrrr...
Getting cold here! Soon it'll be time to bring the bay laurel and fuschia inside, make pesto out of the basil, can another two dozen banana peppers, and load everything else inside the greenhouse to peacefully overwinter.

  Herbish news.......
WOW. I knew mint grew fast, but it just skyrocketed! I am VERY glad mine is in a pot on a deck, unable to spread. God gracious, this thing's mission seems to be world domination! I wonder where mint originally comes from....maybe a lot of animals eat it? Huh.

Keep the kids active in 4-H is a wonderful thing. My kids enjoyed and still enjoy helping with it. Your farm sounds great.

Keep up your hard work.
