Frosty morning today. I pulled some Christmas lights off of a Black Hills Spruce and it was amazing the amount and depth of frost that was on the tree. This wasn't new snow--frost. The 2x4" welded wire fencing almost looked like a solid fence around the goat pasture there was so much frost. Come visit me, Maple Acres Honey, Maple Acres & Maples Acres Trees.

Angoras are easy to take care of and they sure look interesting! Most people think they are sheep. Mine has hair coming down over her eyes. I don't know how she sees and frankly believe that most of the time she can't She's run into me many times just because she doesn't have a clue I am that close. I've considered trimming her "eye hair", but haven't yet. I just like the way it looks.
I have kept Angoras on two different occasions. What I have found both times are that they are in charge. I had a pygmy as a very established herd queen. I brought these in and suddenly the Angoras were in charge. That happened the first time I kept them too. Perhaps if you have goats that are larger than Angoras such as Nubians then this wouldn't happen.Come visit me, Maple Acres Honey, Maple Acres & Maples Acres Trees.

Update
These are my goats, but not at my farm. These are angoras at a place I bought them from. Their hair is a lot longer now and pastured with a pygmy doe. These are both does. I hope to get a pygmy buck in there with them soon.Come visit me, Maple Acres Honey, Maple Acres & Maples Acres Trees.
