  Herbs
Thank you for the input. I will have to put them in better sun. I had them in a place that was in partial shade. Thank you.

  Selling
So far Eggs. I have sold one of my pigs last year. I am working on setting up a booth at the farmers market this spring.
I have tried to grow several different kinds of herbs but they have not turned out the way I would have liked. Do you have a book you have followed or just experiment as you go?

Thanks for visiting us and commenting. I put a comment there about the pasteurizing. You're right Raw Honey is better, especially locally grown... helps with local allergens. nice page, cool picture.

We went through our nursery and seed catalogs yesterday and today. So many ideas and goals for this year.

Good luck in your farming.

  Hey there!
First- thank you for your comment on my blog- yes- I am using the Nubians for milk- and I also plan on eventually having a fiber line as well. It is my eventual plan to make goat milk soap using the herbs I grow, (and the goat milk of course!!) Wonderful page by the way!!

Well we are to get some rain and "Rosemary" is out back in the full sun by the cannons that we cut down due to the weather and the hornets building nest in the dead ones. Maybe it will spring back. If not will try again when the pot has time to air out.

Thanks for your input.

Come visit me, The Homestead.

  Rosemary
Hi there,

I live in Albuquerque which generally is quite dry. The rosemary gets a lot of direct sun. They have a northern exposure. I water it in the summer by a drip system. I occasionally water it in the winter too. But we get some snow too. Now that the bushes are large, they seem to do fine in the cold.

I'm not sure how it would do in a humid environment.

Good luck
Diane

How long have you grown rosemary? Do they like their soil wet? We live in Louisiana and I'm trying to salvage a rosemary Christmas tree that our 8 yr old got two Christmas ago. We've been have low temperatures at night (around 17) and I brought it in and since I did that it looks worse than it did before.
