MY FARM

HummersLlaneLlamas from Rougemont, NC
HummersLlaneLlamas

Farm Name: HummersLlaneLlamas

Year Farm Established: 2001

Location: Windsor Mill, MD

Years I’ve been farming: 13 years

Animals I raise: Llamas

Hobbies I enjoy: crafts, knitting, crocheting, spinning

The proudest moment on my farm: When we have crias born (baby llamas). We have had 5 so far. Llamas can only have one every year. Each one has been healthy and strong despite mother nature sometime. We just had one born during this snowstorm/blizz- ard of 2010. Since we are unable to get out to the barn much we just have to let the momma take care of her and hope mother nature is not too harsh on them.

Pets: Rabbits, cats, birds, and dogs

  Hello!
I love Llamas! I'd love to see more photos. What type of rabbits do you have? We raise and show Holland Lops and Netherland Dwarfs.

  Hi,

We just started a llama and alpaca farm in December. We moved our horses over to board at the trainers who has many more acres for pasture than we do. I couldn't stand the empty pasture and told my husband, "I'm thinking alpacas." And our fiber and camelid venture took off. I want to add rabbits too!

Come visit me, R & T Happy Tails Farm.
