Years I’ve been farming: 4 years

Animals I raise: Ducks= Pekins(my favorite), runners, campbells, Rouens, and cayugas.
Chickens= blue andalusians, three black silkies, araucanas, and a few mixed chicken breeds.
two spanish goats


Crops I grow: collards, radishs, mustard greens, green beans, peppers,
lettuce, pumpkins, tomatos, cabbage, lots of eggplants, and gourds
a plum tree and bunch of pear trees


Hobbies I enjoy: Playing with my Dogs
taking walks
crocheting, knitting, and tatting.


The proudest moment on my farm: Getting my first ducks.

Pets: 11 dogs

  Sorry I took so long to answer your question.

Campines differ in personalities. I have 4 hens that I did not work with at all and they are the calmest Campines I have ever seen. On the other hand, I have 2 hens that I worked with every day from when they were little babies, and they are some of the wildest. So to be fair I think it would depend on the bird.
I hope you get Campines, they are very enjoyable. (preferably from me!!! kidding)

Welcome to hobby farms. I was wondering how you looked the rouens? I think they are beatiful, like the idea of the green eggs, and read that they are less flighty than mallards and not as loud as some other ducks. True?
