Years I’ve been farming: 75 years

Animals I raise: Alpacas, chickens and cattle.

Crops I grow: We grow a little of everything to feed ourselves and especially enjoying growing fresh herbs and berries.

Hobbies I enjoy: Enjoying the outdoors- hiking, canoeing, foraging wild foods; working with natural fibers- spinning and felting; growing vegetables, herbs, teas and fruits and just enjoying everything farm life has to offer.

The proudest moment on my farm: The day I got my first chicks in the mail!

Pets: We have three house cats named Riley, Willow and Pooky, a livestock guardian dog names Zeus and a rabbit named Simon.

Farm Motto: Grow what you love and the love will keep it growing.

Pretty picture. I live in Texas, but love BC. Mostly just saw Vancouver, but hope for a time I can get up there again and really explore. It's so lush & green, quite a change of pace from what I'm used to here.

Welcome to Hobby Farm. We enjoy foraging for wild foods also. My husband has just returned from a weekend seminar on it. He has attended it for close to 18 years.We also own an old town canoe and try to put it in the water when we can. I bet the area you live in is beautiful!!

Great farm motto! What kind of livestock guardian dog do you have. I'm interested in Great Pyranees and Maremma Sheep Dogs, they don't happen to be one of those?
