My daughter would love to do agility with her miniature Austrailian shepherd. We don't know anyone who does it at all in our area to teach her though. She is a junior in college and I told her she'll have time for more once she is done with school and settled somewhere.

Come visit me, Elmcrest Acres.

  soap & haflingers
Thanks for checking out our website. You are right about the horses never leaving your heart. I grew up riding around our farm, but my husband grew up outside of Milwaukee. I've converted him though!

Mine would look at me, and say "not on your life kiddo." I have Huskies and Border Collie/ Huskies. I think it's the Husky part, more like cat attitude.

  It's Friday!
Another hot and humid Gulf Coast day. Thank heaven for A/C! Trying to keep the chickies from getting too hot. They have their own box fan in the coop. Lucky pups get to spend their time inside, but they sure could use some exercise to burn off some pent up energy. The farm pond is getting scummy, though, and we (of course) can't go to the beach anymore. Thinking more seriously about getting an above ground pool.

Both my BCs do flyball. The oldest (Heidi - in the pic) is retired from agility, but the youngest (Indy) competes. Summer, our 9 yr. old golden is a recent addition to our family and we're trying to figure out what activity she'd like to do that is good for a senior. We've taken her to flyball and she loves it, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be good to start it at her age. I'm thinking rally obedience and she'd be an awesome therapy dog.

Do all your dogs do flyball and agility? It looks like it would be a lot of fun for them...burns off some energy. I think my two little dogs need something like that.
