I had my first UTV ride today!!!! OMG!!! I thought my husband was going to turn us over! hahaha I then had to try driving it, I putt putt along but it was SO MUCH FUN! I got to shoot my husband .38 revolver and that was fun(loud) but fun. There I stood sweat pouring off me and I didn't even care..... farm livin is the life for me, just give me that countryside. After a unexpected visit from relatives, who knew we were feeling under the weather and came any, my nose is so stopped up it is unreal. Anywy, I do like all the light fixtures my husband picked out and my son loves his new UTV so everything seems to be coming along. The pest control people come tomorrow and fix alittle termite damage and do a recluse spider spray. I need the floor people to come and put some kind of sealer on the wood floor.I'm ready to move I want to walk outside and not see any houses, people, or pavement. Come visit me, Adam's Place.

Thanks for the comment. But although we have only been out here for a year, my husband's family has owned it for about 45 years. In 1982 due to health reasons the in-laws moved into town, at that time hubby wasn't interested. The farm land was leased out and there was a guy living out here. After he died, we decided to give it a go and move back out here. We are reconfiguing the set up to fit our needs. We have basics but need to do a lot of repair work that has been neglected for several years. Luckily most of what is here is still serviceable, Needs improvement/repair but will work while we do what we need to. Come visit me, Moen Farms.

Woke up to a sick/fever son....so my sweet husband had to go pick out all light fixtures and blinds. I have looked at them in their boxes and all I can do is sing in my head "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you get what need" ? Come visit me, Adam's Place.

We do have a nice peaceful place. We used to hear the coyotes at night, but now we have donkeys. They bray when the coyotes howl, so we can't hear them!Come visit me, Larkshire Farm.

I wish my nose would stop running, people are begining to run from me. So anywho I pick out white crown moulding trying to make my little house cute well...... for some reason I thought the walls were pale yellow...not so they are antique white/almond so you can only imagine what that white looks like. UGH! So now I have to rethink blinds and all the light fixtures. On a good note my 15 acres of grass is mowed butwith all the playing with new mowers so much I think they have killed my grass.I have decided if nothing matches I'm going to say I'm color blind or that I have eclectic decorating taste.hahahaha Come visit me, Adam's Place.

My husband has bought another mower that is 3 I have guess that is one for each of us. I wanted a Trail Cutter not a mower,I wanted to explore not just mow.UGH! I need a garage by the house the barn is not close at all, I need need need..hahaha. This is so fun and my puppies are adorable and getting fat. Wish it was cooler, that would be wonderful. The guys started putting up the crown moulding today and changing out the door knobs and interior doors.Its a start, next the poplar floors needs some type of coating, and all mini blinds, they didn't have any. I'm still fighting my stuffy/runny nose, I can't remember my nose ever being this clogged, but when I see those 3 little waggy tails in the morning I'm all smiles. Come visit me, Adam's Place.

flowers in the garden
we do grow our vegetables organically so we use alot of flowers and vegetables in companion planting to ward off pests
we also plant flowers in the garden for aesthetic purposes
we grow herbs in a small solarium attatched to the back of the house
we also grow dill, thyme, chamomile, and mint throughout the gardenCome visit me, on the farm.

As I sit here
My nose is running and I have a fever how inconvenient this is, I have way to much to do. I hope to feel better tomorrow, I need all new light fixtures and the idea of my husband picking them out scares the you know what out of me. He and the guys are supposed to be working but they are playing in the barn! My husband and I are like little kids out there, or young couple just starting out. Our relatives are going to think we have lost our minds. Hey maybe We could move and not tell them...... think that would work? heeheeCome visit me, Adam's Place.

Finally
After a months worth of growth everthing is mowed pretty good. We finally received the 60" trail mower and hopefully tomorrow the utv will be delivered.My soft hearted husband could not resist the last 2 little puuppies left so now we have 5 dogs!!!! I need to start packing... I hate packing. The poplar floor needs some kind of coating, I suppose Lowes here I come.I did notice I have no birds or squirrels, how strange! My mind is just racing with ideas cannot wait to get started.Come visit me, Adam's Place.

Congratulations!
I know how exciting it is. I bought my farm 3 years ago and I'm still excited. I purchased it but haven't been able to move there because I haven't sold my condo in Florida. my first ever blog came on this site
i have refused to give in to internet communication until now
guess i found a good reason to break the silence
a far as adding pictures
if you have pictures already downloaded into your computer, then when you log into your farm and your profile opens up, then you can edit profile, and there should be a highlighted area where it says to "add pictures"
i am really pretty much computer illiterate but managed to create this site

I'm new to this blogging thing so I'm not sure how to comment, but I think you all have such great farms I can't wait to read lots more. I'm such a newbie I will buy my first piece of farm equipment tomorrow, a UTV with hitch and a big wide trail mower. The closing
We had a slight closing statement discripancy but after about hour and half we had the keys. The older gentleman we bought the farm from got snookered out of 750.00 by the auctioneer, but the closing attorney took it off at his own expense, how nice was that. After the ordeal I was so stressed I just went home. Now tomorrow...... yahoo farm here I come.Come visit me, Adam's Place.

Tomorrow is the day we close on our farm and I am so excited!!! House needs some fixing but I am ready. The termite inspection said I had some recluse spiders so that kind of bothers me but he said he could fix that...I hope so!! Anyway YAY to me I'm almost a farmer!!!!!Come visit me, Adam's Place.
