Hi - What breeds of sheep are you raising? We are transitioning into Suffolks. We had been raising American Blackbellies, but they had too many issues with disease and didn't produce enough meat.

  Thanks for visiting us
We are new to blogging, so over look our mistakes.
We have 1 new calf born Dec 29th. And now we have 6 baby goats less than a week old. We lost 2....and waiting on one nanny that is in the nursery now.
We've never tried raising sheep. We have had 3 horses at different times and lots & lots of chickens. Ours is quite a funny farm.

We used to have a flock in NY. Dorset crosses in the beginning and later we used a Romany ram that produced some nice lambs, improved the wool quality. Hated to part with them when we moved. Good luck.

  Thanks for visiting Howell Farm
I have a friend who has been raising sheep for about 10 years, they do pretty good at it but it takes a lot of time, especially when lambing in the spring. They really do enjoy it and have had lots of 4H'ers involved over the years. Hope to hear more about your place and thanks again for visiting.

Come visit me, HOWELL.
