i was also wondering bout how to get hands on while doing online school. the online courses are cool, cus you can read the material and when it comes time to do hands on stuff you can go to a clinic and have some one video tape it and send it in with all your grade stuff!!

6500 acres, wow! That is some elbow room. If we were younger, that would be our dream. With our current energy level, our 10 acres will do.

  Laramie Wyoming
I've been there a couple of times. Looked at property around there myself. Only problem I had with the property was that it was a little too remote for someone who still had to work full time. I'd also check with a realtor or someone in the area. Also told by my realtor that some of the property there gets snowed in in winter (because of the higher elevation) and sometimes it's harder/more expensive to get utilities and water in certain areas. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL there. I tried to pull up your link to see the property but couldn't get it to work.

  Hobby Farm Friends
This is a nice way to visit other farms and friends all across our Americas. We all get busy different times but have such an abundance of joy and ideas to share. Here it's been getting some seeds in the ground, landscaping around our newly placed home, enjoying the new growth of 2011 both animals and future foods. I am still unpacking and setting up the interior of the new home on windy mornings. Spring is in full swing.

  Backyard ranchers
With one acre we can be "backyard ranchers" similar to the "home farmers" movement. Just takes a little creativity to create the beauty.

  Good Morning!
Our temp has been high 40s, low 50s. Except the 40-50 mph winds make it very COLD! No snow yet, but they keep saying, we have a 10% chance. My daughter, in Idaho has over 2ft. already!

  Good Morning
My husband design and built both of my coops. I'll try to post pictures of them soon. Our small coop houses about 8 birds and cost around $200 to build. The large coop houses 15-20 chickens, and was much more expensive (about $1000).

We have had a really warm fall so far - yesterday was in the 70's! Many blessings for a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Our garden didn't fare to well, either. For a change, we had too much rain! Even the farmer- farmers had a tough go of it. No one could get into the fields to mow.
