Farm Name: Shellie's Shire
Year Farm Established: 2011
Years I’ve been farming: 2 years old
Animals I raise: I am working toward chickens, a farm dog, farm cats, and my dream is to have a couple of Scottish Highlander calves to raise. July 2012 - I have 4 guinea fowl... they are interesting creatures. February 2013: I am now down to 1 guinea. I now have 4 feather-footed bantam roosters. They're beautiful. I love the morning cockadoodle doo!
Crops I grow: garden goodies... a little bit of a lot. New this year (2012) cabbage - and they are beautiful... and they tasted good. For 2013, i will be trying shell beans and more cabbage, horseradish and a goji berry bush.
Hobbies I enjoy: cross-stitch, sewing (learning), crochet (learning), gardening.
Pets: Dusty, a very old cat (laid to rest 6.29.12). New addition: Kahia (Corgi/Pekinges- e).
Farm Motto: Live simply so others may simply live.
