Hi. Thanks for the advice on the chickens. We caged up our Buff and have a chanteclair rooster out. He is not harming the hens. But the Buff is an aggressive mater. But other than that, I guess the pecking order has been established. Vicks vapo, great idea. Thanks.

  Nice Rooster
I had to get rid of mine, they were starting to attack my hens and then me. "Don't bite(attack) the hand that feeds you." Oh well, I think I am better off just having hens. The roosters were not very good alarm clocks anyway and would crow when ever they wanted to even at sunset! LOL

How are the new chics? Temps are starting to get into the 40s on a regular basis here in Nebraska so it won't be long now before I'll be elbow deep in mixing up potting soil for the 25 or so patio containers. That's always the best part of spring.

Have a great day.

nice pic. Do your chickens attack your hens like ours do? Poor things have blood on their head and have been pecked a lot.

No chickens here and no dogs here but I do have a prolific abundance of rabbits, squirrels, racoons, opossums, and whatever else decides to stop at my garden buffet while passing through the yard.

Have a great California day.
