  Poor Baby Bucks
Banded the buck kids on Monday4-11-11. There are just some things that make loving my goats one of the toughest jobs. disbudding is my number one dislike, castration time is second.

  Where is Spring?
Night before last I had to move the goats around and take the kids out of the kid pen. 20 below was predicted and boy did we get it!

Today it's only 6 above. I'll tell you nothing makes chores harder than working in anything colder than 20 below.

  Spring In Like a Lion?
I dont know how true, but it sure has been windy today. Snowed yesterday and partly cloudy right now. The kids are looking so good this year. I cant wait to get the triplets registered. I am looking forward to showing this year at the fair.

  ya Never Know What You're Gonna Get
Hamish is the buck I have used for 2 years. Last years kids looked Snubian and Saanen. Hamish is 1/2 Saanen, 1/4 Togg and 1/4 Nubian.

My Saanen doe Little Anne gave me a Togg buck! Sara gave me very Snubian looking kids. Mary Jane's triplets were the shocker. The three doe kids look very Nubian! YAY!!!

  Does Eat Oats and Little Kids Eat Ivy
What a great start to a fresh spring. Four doe kids and two buck kids here this year! Sara had twins, Little Anne had a single and Mary Jane gave us triplets!

All kids and does look great! Already drinking our yummy goat milk AND IT IS GOOD THIS YEAR!
