Hey Guys! Sabboth did a little strutting this week! He will also eat from my hand. You should see how big he and the girls have gotten. They love to get treats from the kitchen. I wish it would cool off a little because I worry about losing them in this heat.

We traded some Indian Runner duck eggs for a Bourbon Red turkey (tom, we hope). We probably need some advice on raising turkeys.

My Farm name is Heritage Farm because it has been handed down through my family, however we do raise bourbon red turkeys, khaki campbell ducks, barred rock chickens, and all Heirloom veggies for ourselves.

  Do you raise heritage breeds?
Hi Heritage farms - judging by your name I'm guessing you raise heritage breeds? Just wondering what breeds you're raising. Our farm is called H & H Farms - stands for 'Heritage and Heirloom' as we raise heritage livestock and heirloom fruits & veggies. We have American Chinchilla rabbits and Speckled Sussex, Delaware, Buckeye, Wyandotte and Australorp hens. We're looking for Silver Fox rabbits if you know anyone in California who raises them (very hard to find!)

Well with a little work I have got Randy where he will drink water from his water bucket and eat a few pellets from my hand. We have babies everywhere right now. 7 babies rabbits, a baby cow, 4 poults and as of last night a bouncing baby boy horse. Busy bsuy busy. If anyone is interested in some bourbon red poults let me know....I have 40 eggs in the incubator.

It is truly a small world!!! We are enjoying our llamas and donkeys and also our Indian Runner and Muscovy ducks. We are looking for a new jenny to add to our donkey herd. Last year we raised a really neat garden in llama poop. Call me. We could use your help with the Ag. Fair this year. It is the 200th year of agriculture fairs in America this year and we are trying to make ours reflect this heritage this year.

We have bourbon red turkeys, barred rock chickens, khaki campbell ducks, boer cross goats, ( I lost my nubian doe last year) and californian rabbits. I really want to get some more nubian goats but we have a weed in out wooded pasture that kills our goats so I have got to get rid of that before I increase my dairy herd.

Thank you all! Randy, the calf is doing great and I am hand feeding him pelleted feed now and I am loving every minute of caring for him. The little pink things in the picture are day old baby rabbits. There are seven in the nest. They are also growing like kudzu!!

What a precious baby! And I'm another raised bed fan. I am in the process of building 32 assorted size beds, and I'm using a pink clawfoot bathtub for a center piece. Have a great day!
