  Many Thanks
Thank you for your information about popular goat breeds. Right now we're looking into both Spanish and Oberhasli goats which are both rare breeds. Unfortunately we don't have enough land for cattle but we're hoping we can expand in the future.

  too hot for Highlands?
Hi! I'm near Winston-Salem NC and would love to get some Scottish Highland cattle but am worried it is too hot here for them? We are 2+ hourse from Ashville. While this summer has been unseasonably cool- could they tolerate a normal Carolina summer?

Thank you for all your support...it’s nice to see a “familiar” face on facebook!! We are glad to be home though...It’s been a fun but long week ready for things to get back to as “normal” as can be aroung here lol. The temps for the fair have not been normal however...down in the low 50’s at night and 74 at the warmest day...very strange for Iowa in July it’s usually around mid 70’s at night and mid to upper 80’s & 90’s & humid....It did make it much easier on all the animals so that was a good thing! Better get going...thank you again talk with you soon :-)

  Thank you!
Thanks for the welcoming! Your Scottish highlands are my husband favorite. We are in process of clearing more land and hope to be able to get a few down the road. Our friends have 12 of them but you can't get anywhere close to them. Will this be the case even if we are hands on from the beginning? Thanks for any info.

Your picture of the calf is adorable.
