  Local fair
Good news! I'm going to enter my drawing of my rooster...Ben...in the local county fair. I wouldn't be able to enter the real poster because he's losing his feathers due to colder weather and don't look very nice right now. I'll let you guys know how it goes! Wish me luck! I'll also upload a picture of my drawing soon.

P2 is his nickname and he's our 4H(er) that will break my wallet..LOL..but got to keep him interested in learning to do for himself for the future.

4H egg projects at the fair are different then the adult division. That year P2 was the only one in the blue egg divison and his 1st year to have Americana Chickens.

Adult divison....they have to make a certain weight (as a dozen), be all the same shade and size and NO OIL or dirt on eggs.

Our son always preaches if you gonna incubate, the longer the egg is the more likely it's a hen. Don't know how true it is, because when his hens went broody he stopped incubating in the house to save on electricity...LOL

Love the new pics posted.

LOL son got 6 "hens" from TSC and all BUT 1 was a roo. I told him that was the last time we buy local, from now on I will pay the shipping cost and get them from Ideal, because the only time we received roo from them was to keep his order warm when we got them in the winter.
