Animals I raise: Horses, Chickens and Golden/ Boxers.
Crops I grow: Vine crops: Watermelon, pumpkin, cucumber, gourds, squash, zucchini, peas,
greens: 4 Lettuces, 2 cabbages,
Flowers: Gladiolus, Day Lilies,
All grown using hay bale method.
Hobbies I enjoy: Along with having gardens and chickens that make salable produce we also offer farm tours and an afternoon art program for all ages of children and adults. We like to think of it as art and sustenance or "Soul Food". We also have many years of experience with horses and offer many horse services including training and boarding. We are also soon going to be offering various workshops with topics ranging from art to women's empowerment to nature related to farming life to other spirit related topics.
The proudest moment on my farm: So far the proudest day was when the round pen was finished. The main "class room" for the education and exploration side of our farm offerings. We now have a space to facilitate the next phase of our dream of farm life. :)
