Tomatoes and Pepper Tricks Hi Joe: Sorry it took me awhile to answer - computer died (sigh). We had drought & a horrific hail storm here in S/W Mo that cut my peppers and tomatoes almost the ground. I was heartbroken, because it promised to be such a good crop. A friend told me to cut everything back to the top-most good stem part, and water and feed well. I was doubtful, but did so. I also began feeding liquid fish oil mixed into water every 3 days, and low and behold, the tomatoes came back with a vengeance, and even the peppers produced. I just picked another 40 tomatoes a few days ago, and still have some developing, as well as peppers finishing up. 4 Mil Row covers kept them warm enough, even with the freezes we had this last 10 days, so you might want to try those tips.Come visit me, Heart's Haven.
