Thank you my hubby took that photo of my only red sunflower that didn't get eaten last year! We actually didn't buy the plants, they've grown wild for many many years. We have wild high bush (the large blueberries) and wild low bush (the little blueberries).Come visit me, Red Stone Ranch.

Spring
Thank God that spring has come to the farm. Our apple trees are coming out of dormancy and are in silver tip. Almost time to start our spray schedule. Just yesterday we transplanted our onion crop into the field. The garlic overwintered well and the plants are now enjoying the sunshine. We are going to be picking up 5 new bee colonies so will have 9 hives working for us this year. we unfortunately lost 3 hives over the winter. Winter
Hi , how has the winter been going at your farm. We just had another 12+ inches of snow but I am sure spring must be coming soon. The chickens hate the snowy days being "cooped" up in the barn. I can't wait for planting season. This time of year is busy getting bee boxes and frames ready for the new bee packages that will be arriving the end of April.Plus 40 new chicks the 1st of May.I love being a farmer! Hens
Hi we have Rhode Island reds , Delaware , and are going to be getting 40 others of various breeds. I'll be getting my next chicks around May 2nd. Very excited. The girls have become very productive this winter. They are now 6 1/2 months old and I've been getting 11 eggs a day consistently we've been able to sell alot. I love the chickens. Still Thinking
We aren't sure what our first animals will be,I would like an Ass,but my wife is leaning toward chickens or goats.Our oldest is allergic to rabbits,so they are out.
