my rooster in a bantam, and my hens are red star hens. I can definitely agree that it all starts with chickens though im expanding to 14 and i also have 1 sheep and a hog. oh and a mutt:)Come visit me, Red Star Chicken Barn.

the 5th picture down on the left, is that a guinea?? i absolutely love them! i have 6 chickens though and am currently unable to expand to other animals. is raising them the same as raising chickens? Come visit me, Red Star Chicken Barn.

Ya know chickens are a "gateway" farm animal,haha. They open the door for goats and pigs everywhere.I plan to add goats(meat and dairy). have any advice? Come visit me, Jim and Cindy's Farm, Allen's Farm, Cindy's Kitchen & Chicken girl's farm.

pigs
Thx for the comment! i enjoy raising pigs for the freezer every year. This year has been my most challenging though, the heat, the price of corn and this year i went with a different breeder, whom i'll never buy from again. Although every thing worked out good for my freezer i had those pigs a month and a half longer than any other. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
