  Seeing Deer!
Living in the country is great! There is so much wildlife to observe that you can not help but observe and enjoy. Over the weekend my 8 year old son and I saw a 6 point buck and a doe playing in the fence row seperating an abadnoned soybean field. The very next day, I walked the same fence row and kicked up a doe. I was so close to her I could of stepped on her by mistake! My 8 year old thought it was the coolest thing in the world. My family and I are so glad to be in the country!

  Rainy Days In Indiana
It has been raining for the past three days. Rain and cool weather make a great time for repairing and remodeling inside.

This evening bathroom tile was finished in main bathroom. New toilet, baseboard, quarter round, bathroom counter and sink will be installed in a few days.

The bathroom project is the first in our new farmhouse and I look forward to others.

  Constructive Safety Tips
This past weekend my four boys and I had fun tearing down an old abandoned dog house and chicken coop. The objective I wanted to accomplish was to demonstrate to the boys how to safely demolish abandoned buildings with the use of a crowbar and hammer with the use of personal protective equipmnet (ppe). I was able to demonstrate how safety glasses prevent the potential of wood pieces or nails from flying into their eyes. Furthermore, I was able to demonstrate the use of wearing gloves to protect our hands from wood splints, glass, nails and the such.

The project did not take long to complete and the boys learned how to sprotect themselves during such activity and more importanly why. Take time to share simple safety tips can last a lifetime!
